Gear Rental
Max Watts has worked with movie lighting for many years. We offer a well maintained, extensive inventory of the best in lighting by trusted names like Mole Richardson, Quartzcolor Italy, Matthews Studio Equipment, Manfrotto, Avenger Grip, and Bardwell & McAlister. We will consult with you to ensure your lighting package suits your individual production requirements. Whether your production is small or big budget, Max Watts has the lighting rental inventory, experience and expertise to make a difference for your gaffer and grip crew.
Rental Inventory
Rental inventory includes most items we have available, but if you don't see what you want, ask and we may be able to get it for you. Grip items, including frames, gel, diffusion, flags, cutters and fabric are also available. Prices are subject to change.

Design & Consulting
Max Watts has designed lighting for many theatre productions all over Ontario. We have experience working in large and small houses, and have also produced lighting designs for non-traditional venues to transform them into theatres. We have produced original gobos for displays and music videos as well as theatre productions. Repair
Max Watts has been repairing lighting fixtures and accessories for years. I have repaired conventional fixtures, moving lights and special effects for many companies in the Windsor and Essex County Region. Through the years I've established very useful relationships with many parts suppliers and lighting companies throughout North America. If you need maintenance done on your lighting, we have the experience, knowledge and tools to bring older lighting fixtures back to top notch working order. We even repair antique lamps. Whatever the issue, Max Watts can bring out the potential in your lighting situation.
Max Watts Custom Gobos
Max Watts has been making custom gobo projections for well over a decade. We have produced unique monograms, logos and images for events and conferences, as well as artistic projections for theatre that verge on optical illusions. We’ve done it all!
What is a gobo projection? Simply put, it’s a sign made of light that can be placed where you want it. They can be placed on the outside of a building, on a wall, on the floor, and are usually used to identify an event, or as advertising. They often appear as a monogram, logo, wallpaper or image.
We make them ourselves start to finish! Since we produce these projections in our own studio, we can create designs that reflect the style you're after, and we can produce them as quickly as any major supplier. Furthermore, we are also experts at calculating the optimal throw and beam angle for projecting your gobo so they look amazing.
Many companies throughout the area have utilized us for professional gobo projection and consultation. So whether you'd like an elegant monogram for your wedding, or a company logo for your next corporate event, we can produce stunning signage that fills you with pride and anchors your event with delicacy and grace.
